Chipsealing, also known as chip seal or chip and seal is a surface treatment for pavement. This process includes combining one or more layers of asphalt with one or more layers of fine aggregate. Chipsealing is typically used for rural roads and other places that experience low traffic. The process of chipsealing includes applying a layer of asphalt followed by a layer of crushed rock and repeat until we feel it is solid.
• Chipsealing provides the opportunity to maintain the roads for very low cost.
